The Maryland Summer Scholars Program (MSS) is a competitive research award that provides an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students to spend the summer working closely with faculty mentors on ambitious research or artistic projects. Maryland Summer Scholars research may take place anywhere in the US or abroad as required by the nature of the project. For the Summer of 2011, the program will provide awards of $3,000 to approximately 30 outstanding students. You are eligible to apply if you will have earned 60 or more credits by the end of Spring 2011, if you have a GPA of at least 3.4, and if you will be enrolled at the University of Maryland, College Park, in Fall 2011. All academic majors are eligible.
