The American Red Cross has issued a nationwide appeal for blood donors to
boost a dwindling supply. The Red Cross has not seen their blood supply
drop this drastically in the last decade. Since January 1, winter weather
in DC and the Northeast has created a situation where a total of over 36,000
potential blood and platelet donations have not been collected. Blood
products help save people’s lives; whether it’s a blood transfusion for a
car accident victim, platelets for cancer patients, or frequent transfusions
for sickle cell patients.

The American Red Cross and the University of Maryland Hillel will be having
a blood drive on:

*Wednesday, February 23rd **from 09:30 AM-03:30 PM*

The Sponsor Code for this drive is 10827.
