Enter the Dance Your Degree UMD Competition!
Turn your research or classroom assignment into a dance and achieve immortal geek fame.
What to do:
1. Create a dance elucidating some aspect of your research, past or present. You can have any number of people in the cast, but you must be in the dance as well.
2. Upload a video of it to Vimeo or YouTube and send us the link by April 1st.

The inspiration for this comes from the internationally recognized Dance your Ph.D. competition. For examples of winning videos from that contest to spark your own ideas visit http://gonzolabs.org/dance/.
The winning video will be presented at our 2012 Spring Maryland Dance Ensemble Concert, April 19th – 22nd. Additionally, a $100 cash prize will be awarded to the winning Choreographer/Researcher. The casts of both winning and second place videos will receive free tickets to the concert.
Note: Dance Majors are discouraged from applying. This is for regular folks, y’all!
For further information, please contact Adriane Fang, Artist in Residence in the Dance Program, at [log in to unmask] or 646-284-5881.
