The Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Maryland is seeking a full-time Research Associate for our basic science laboratory. This laboratory is situated in the University of Maryland Center for Vascular and Inflammatory Diseases (CVID) in Baltimore. Our laboratory studies a broad range of vascular biology topics ranging from vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation, thrombus resolution and angiogenesis/arteriogenesis in vivo. Candidates for the Research Associate position should have a strong scientific background, have completed a B.S. degree and preference will be given to those with prior laboratory research experience. There is opportunity for participation in preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, and grants for the appropriately motivated candidate. Observation of complex vascular surgery and clinical care of cardiovascular patients is also possible with the Division faculty. This position is ideal for individuals seeking further basic science or medical education in the future. This is a full-time position with appropriate benefits. Please contact Dr. Thomas Monahan at [log in to unmask] for more information.
