Student Entertainment Events Presents: “hitRECord at the Movies” with
Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Gordon-Levitt encourages student creativity in an effort to inspire
the Maryland community

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Student Entertainment Events is pleased to
announce hitRECord at the Movies, a lecture with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The event will take place at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 26 in the Grand
Ballroom of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union – Center for Campus Life.
Doors open at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to all members of the
University of Maryland community. A limited number of seats have been
set-aside for the general public who may attend the event if
accompanied by a student or faculty member with a UMID. There will be
no tickets for sale or given out ahead of time for this event. Seats
will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is more than just a talented actor who has
starred in numerous hit movies including “Inception” and “500 Days of
Summer.” He is also a producer, innovator and businessman. For over a
decade, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been a prominent part of the film and
television world. Five years ago, Gordon-Levitt launched
hitRecord.org, a non-profit organization that provides individuals
with an electronic outlet to collaborate on video, music, art, and
other creative projects. HitRECord.org has developed into a
professional mass-collaborative production company where any person
with access to the internet can contribute to a variety of digital
multimedia projects that have been initiated by Gordon-Levitt himself.
This particular lecture will detail Gordon-Levitt’s acting career,
give an introduction to the hitRECord collaborative process, and
incorporate participatory RECording antics and activities.

SEE is grateful for support from Stamp Special Events and Programs and
Pepsi in helping to make this event possible.
