=========================================================================================================
This e-mail message is being sent to you concerning Summer Research Internship opportunities for your students in the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Summer Internship Program. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for high-academically achieving underrepresented ethnic minority students in the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields to learn about research and encourage them to apply for graduate school; with the hope that some of them will choose to apply and pursue graduate studies here at NDSU.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The program is an eight week research internship with travel to and from Fargo, ND and expenses for dormitory room (not including meals) covered along with a stipend of $4,000.00. Please note that most of the internship opportunities will be working in General Biology and with a Plant Genomics project and therefore preference will be given to student applicants majoring, having taken classes, and/or with research experience in the following disciplines: Biology, Genetics, Mathematics (particularly those with classes in programming), Computer Science, and Plant Sciences. There may also be internship opportunities for students in engineering, pharmacy, material science, food science, food safety, and nanotechnology.

TO APPLY:
Completed applications consist of a statement of career goals, two letters of recommendation and a copy of your undergraduate
transcript(s). Program deadline for students is February 15, and applicants are notified by March 1.
Note: All applicants must be U.S. citizens to qualify.
