Calling All Poets and/or Artists: Enter the 46th Annual Poster & Poetry Contest, sponsored by the National Career Development Association! Submit an original poem or poster (traditional or mixed media) that speaks to the topic, “My Career Dreams.” Contact Kate Juhl ([log in to unmask]) in the University Career Center & The President’s Promise with your submission no later than November 10, 2011. National winners will be recognized on the NCDA website, at the national conference next summer and will also win a certificate and special gift of congratulations from the NCDA.
Guidelines for poems: Use any acceptable poetic form (e.g., cinquain, free verse, diamante, haiku, limerick, metered rhyming, blank verse). Submit each poem on a single sheet of paper (8.5 x 11) in 12 point font.
Guidelines for posters: Category 1: Standard use of ink, pencil, poster paints, magic marker, acrylics and oils.
Category 2: Use of photos, clipart, graphic art, software, collage, cut and pasted paper, and mixed media.
Size: Both categories should be created in 8.5 x 11 format, including matte, to be eligible.
