*What*: Terps Walk fAAST, 5K for AAST scholarships

*Where*: Lake Artemesia, across Rt 1 from UMD campus
*About:* The Asian American Studies Scholarships provide financial relief
for students at the University of Maryland who show meaningful application
of their education from AAST courses as well as exemplary contribution to
the APA community. The goal of Terps Walk fAAST (Terps Walk for AAST) is to
raise funds in order to help keep these scholarships available for the
student body. Economic struggles in recent years have even resulted in one
of the scholarships being unable to be awarded in the 2010-2011 school year.
This Walkathon is meant to raise awareness about AAST to the College Park,
Maryland, D.C., and Virginia communities, and most importantly to students
who could greatly benefit from the help of these scholarships.
*Registration: *at terspwalkfaast.com, $10 Students, $15 non-students, FREE
children
Early registration extended to October 15, 2011
Late registration/on-site registration until October
22nd
