GSPH Open House, November 11, 2011

Dear Colleague,
I’m writing from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health (GSPH) with information on our annual Open House for prospective students. Please invite your students to join us on Friday, November 11, 2011 for this informational program about the field of public health and how GSPH prepares students for careers that contribute to a healthier world. Advisors and career services staff are also welcome to join us. The event web site is www.publichealth.pitt.edu/openhouse<http://www.publichealth.pitt.edu/openhouse> .
This event is highly informational for students who are thinking about a graduate degree in public health. Our departments include Behavioral and Community Health Sciences, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health, Health Policy and Management, Human Genetics, and Infectious Diseases and Microbiology. We will also have information for students that may not fully know how public health fits in with their interests and career goals. Students from many academic backgrounds committed to making a difference in the world find their passion at GSPH.
If I can give you or your students more information—about the event, our school, the field, etc.—please let me know. Also, if you want us to update our lists at all, I’d be happy to know how we can better keep your institution up to date on this event. If there is a better person to send it to, or if you’d prefer the information in another format, just let me know. You should also receive the attached flier in hard copy.
Our latest admissions catalog is now available online at www.publichealth.pitt.edu/docs/2011AdmissionsCatalog.pdf , featuring descriptions of our departments and various degree programs, our certificate programs, research centers, and application instructions. If you’ve looked at it before, allow me to point out that this version is much improved! We can also mail hard copies.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this message,
Caitlin McCullough
