Have you ever wondered where Hip Hop came from? What contributed to its conception? What its cross cultural roots are? If it has always been what mainstream media portrays it to be? If so, this event is definitely for you. Even if you haven't, this is a great chance to gain a new perspective of something we are immersed in every day.

Solomon Comissiong, lecturer on Hip Hop Culture at the University of Maryland College Park, Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Public Relations for the Nyumburu Cultural Center, and President and co-founder of SCMB Educational Consulting will be joining us to give his lecture “The Often Untold History of Hip Hop History.” Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the real history of Hip Hop with BHC this Thursday at 6 in the Anne Arundel Hall basement lounge.
