The following email pertains to the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Future Leaders Program. Please pass this information along to your students. They’re looking for students with science and/or engineering backgrounds.

NNSA is responsible for the management and security of the nation’s nuclear weapons, nuclear nonproliferation and naval reactor programs. It also responds to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the United States and abroad. Additionally, NNSA federal agents provide safe and secure transportation of nuclear weapons and components and special nuclear materials along with other missions supporting the national security.
The NNSA is pleased to announce that our agency is currently accepting applications for the Future Leaders Program (FLP) Class of 2012.  The FLP is a two-year entry level career development program that provides top of the line training and developmental opportunities to participants to prepare them for a career in public service, with the NNSA. The FLP application is currently open until Sunday, November 13th!

The NNSA will be holding four Virtual Information Sessions to provide students with more information about our agency and the Future Leaders Program. Virtual Information sessions provide NNSA with the opportunity to talk to students across the country about our program through the use of the internet. In order to participate, all you need is a computer with internet access.
