UMD ALUMNI INVITED TO APPLY TO TEACH FOR AMERICA

Right now, only 8% of American students growing up in low-income
communities graduate from college by the time theyıre 24, compared to 80%
of students from high-income communities. You have
 the power to change this. Join fellow Terps in Teach For America, the
national corps of outstanding individuals ­ from all professional and
academic backgrounds - who commit to teach for two years in urban and
rural low-income communities and become lifelong
 leaders in the effort to expand educational opportunity. Full salary,
benefits, transitional grants, and AmeriCorps funding.
