Interested in equitable development and social justice? The Association for
India’s Development (AID) and Ashoka TerpChangemakers is delighted to bring
Dr Balaji Sampath, founder of the Eureka Child Initiative, to campus this
weekend!

Dr Sampath has played an influential role in planning and executing
large-scale campaigns in public health, women's empowerment, and primary
education in India. His work has culminated in the Hundred Block Plan
(HBP), a multi-pronged rural intervention and development program, which he
pioneered with the All-India People's Science Network (AIPSN). Today, the
Eureka Child Initiative (ECI) provides nearly 1 million children living in
utter destitution the educational inputs they need to liberate themselves
from the pernicious cycle of poverty into which they have been born.
Working in nearly 1,000 villages across south India, the Eureka Child
Initiative provides innovative instructional and pedagogical materials,
trains quality primary educators, and administers robust assessments that
vigilantly monitor each child's learning during the most formative years of
his or her development.

Come out and join us for an inspiring talk by one of India’s leading
experts in rural education and development! FREE SAMOSAS AND CHAI!
