Patent Seminar - America Invents Act
 
Join us on Wednesday February 20, 2013, in room 1103 Bioscience Research
Building from 3:30 ­ 5:30 pm for a panel discussion on the America Invents
Act including the change to a first-inventor-to-file system. Additional
topics include:  What is patentable? How these recent patent law changes
might impact your work at the University of Maryland, and The Universityšs
Intellectual Property Policy.  Opening remarks will be made by Dr. Pat
OšShea, Vice President and Chief Research Officer.  Panel members include
Felicia Metz, Office of Technology Commercialization; Anne Bowden,
University Counsel; and Mary Anthony Merchant, Ballard Spahr, LLP.  The
moderator is Dr. Gayatri Varma, Executive Director, Office of Technology
