Dear Supporter:

We hope you will join us for Good Neighbor Day on Saturday, March 31, 2012. The University of Maryland, along with the City of College Park, Prince George’s County and other partners are working together to continue creating safer and more beautiful shared spaces.

As the State’s flagship institution, the University is cleaning up its area parks, trails and streams. This effort will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 8am to 1:30pm. Volunteers – students, faculty, alumni and local residents – will come together to give back to the larger community. Some will be picking up trash, pulling invasive plants and painting graffiti-covered walls. Others will register volunteers and serve food. And many supporters will supply the funds, materials and food required to make this transformation happen.

Preparation for this day is in high gear. And like any other project the University is involved with – we strive for greatness. We know it is possible to be great, while doing good. Please accept this correspondence as your invitation to join us in this charitable endeavor.

Please connect with me directly so that I may efficiently coordinate your participation. More details and volunteer registration can be found here: http://www.goodneighborday.umd.edu/index.html
