This will be an evening of active engagement with Ashoka fellow Greg Van
Kirk and student social entrepreneur Ben Simon.

Our speakers will engage in a TED style talk about the social problems they
were witnessing and the initial thought process that helped them create a
business plan to solve these issues.

Students will be seated in small groups, and following Greg and Ben’s
presentation, student social entrepreneurs will talk in their groups about
their companies and guide the conversation around what resources and spaces
at Maryland exist to help everyone see their ideas come to fruition.  This
is a unique opportunity for student-to-student networking and learning from
fellow peers the challenges and accomplishments of being a student and
starting your social enterprise.
