Student Aid 2011

A research support position (laboratory aid)/paid internship is available for an undergraduate student this spring and summer (2011) at the USDA Beltsville Agricultural Research Center. This is a University of Maryland appointment with potential to receive class credit and continued employment in the fall semester. The aid provides assistance with basic biology laboratory activities (e.g. buffer and sample preparation, data entry, etc.) and eventually more specialized methods (e.g. enzyme assays, gel electrophoresis, etc.). The successful candidate will benefit greatly from some familiarity with laboratory work, but will be taught all necessary techniques. The position can expand to full time in the summer.
