Faculty Research Assistant – This is a full time position as lab manager in the Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics Department, with an August 15th start date. Primary responsibilities include general organization and upkeep of the lab consisting of maintaining equipment, placing orders, stocking the lab, and washing glassware. The job also involves keeping a detailed record of chemicals and reagents, and some basic accounting. In addition, the faculty research assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the laboratory is up to date and compliant with all environmental safety and animal use regulations. Beyond these primary duties, should the research assistant wish to be trained in specific research techniques, opportunities are available to acquire such skills as an assistant in an on-going project.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field. Organizational skills are very important, and experience working as a manager will be advantageous.
