Intern needed
Seeking part time intern to assist with graduate student research on grid ditch marshes on the Eastern Shore of MD.
Abilities: Conduct rigorous field work under varying weather conditions; long work days. Ability to carry equipment under strenuous conditions required. Work will be typically 1 day a week (possible 2 at most) for 3 to 4 weeks starting first week of October. There may be additional work opportunities after this.
Responsibilities: Assist with graduate student research installation of water level data loggers and salinity gages, in addition to basic field assessments of hydrology, vegetation, and soils.
Education: Working on Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Environmental science, Aquatic/Fisheries Biology, Marine, Biology, Ecology, Resource Management, Conservation, or closely related field.
Experience: Experience with field work preferred but not mandatory.
