MEDLIFE Medical Brigades Info Session + "A New Picture of Health" Documentary Screening
TODAY (Wednesday September 19th) 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Hornbake Library Non-Print Media Room (0302J)

Interested in global health and medicine? Want to volunteer abroad in Latin America and gain hands-on medical experience? Join MEDLIFE to watch this short documentary narrated by Dr. Jane Goodall (who will be visiting UMD on October 13th!). The film chronicles how U.S. investments in health are empowering impoverished communities and putting an end to diseases. The film includes personal stories from health workers, patients, and community leaders to show the impact of the Global Fund's programs in Ethiopia, Rwanda and Indonesia. After watching the documentary, we will discuss how MEDLIFE aims to improve global health via our mobile clinics and fundraising efforts. All students are welcome to learn how they can get involved and travel to Latin America and volunteer at a MEDLIFE Medical Brigade!
