The Maryland chapter of YACS (Young Adult Cancer Support) is gearing up for an exciting new year. YACS creates local communities of young adults committed to making a difference in the young adult cancer FIGHT. YACS provides opportunities for young adults to connect through formal support groups as well as social and volunteer opportunities. Our first general body meeting will be held this Thursday, October 4th @ 7pm in the basement of Anne Arundel Hall.

If you are looking for ways to get involved consider volunteering at the Ulman Cancer Funds Half Full Triathlon in Columbia on October 7th. Lance Armstrong is just one of the amazing cancer survivors who will be participating in the race. Volunteer spots are filling up fast so make sure you go to this website: http://rev3tri.com/half-full/volunteer-hf/signup/ if you want to help out!

For more information about YACS or volunteering at the Half Full Triathlon please email the UMD YACS president Alex Wang: [log in to unmask]
