Subject: Apply now for an exciting M.S. in Biohazardous Threat Agents and
Emerging Infectious Disease!
Description:
Georgetown University invites you to apply for an M.S. in Biohazardous Threat
Agents and Emerging Infectious Disease program. The terrorism events of 9/11
have resulted in a need to train students in biohazardous threat agents and
emerging infectious diseases. The threat of smallpox, SARS, pandemic flu,
MERS, Polio, and monkey pox underscore the need for the development of
educational initiatives. Furthermore, these initiatives, coupled with the
need to more fully understand biological and chemical threat agents must be
addressed as well.
This exciting, one year M.S. program focuses on broadening the student’s
knowledge about prevention, detection, and response to chemical, biological,
and radiological threat agents as well as emerging infectious diseases. The
program also addresses the knowledge gap facing the world community; whether
such threats occur naturally or are purposefully designed.
