Subject: Upcoming National Zoo Career Event
Description:
Smithsonian’s National Zoo and the Friends of the National Zoo would like
to extend an invitation to the University of Maryland’s students to attend
our upcoming event, Exploring Careers in Wildlife Conservation, Focus On:
Animal Health and the National Zoo. This event is scheduled to take place on
Thursday, June 26th from 5-6:30PM at the National Zoo’s Visitor Center
Auditorium.
A candid discussion with National Zoo professionals, Exploring Careers in
Wildlife Conservation, Focus On: Animal Health and the National Zoo will give
participants the opportunity to ask questions directly to experts in the
fields of veterinary medicine, pathology and animal nutrition. While the
conversation will primarily focus on what it takes to maintain the health of
the Zoo’s animal collection, we will also have the opportunity to discuss
wildlife conservation and offer advice to aspiring zoo professionals. Before
and after the event, attendees will have the opportunity to review a series
of posters developed by National Zoo staff on the subjects of animal health
and nutrition. Additional information and registration can be found on our
website, www.fonz.org/ecwc.
