Ford Predoctoral Fellowship 2015 Application Now Open - Deadline: November
19, 2014

 
Learn about the Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship, which provides an
annual stipend of $24,000 for three years and access to a large network of
successful Ford Fellows. Through its Fellowship Programs, the Ford
Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nationšs college and
university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to
maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number
of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching
the education of all students.
 
The Ford Foundation awards approximately 60 predoctoral fellowships every
year. These fellowships provide three years of support for individuals
engaged in research-based graduate study leading to a Ph.D.
 

Eligibility to apply to a predoctoral fellowship is limited to:
 
ˇ         U.S. Citizens or U.S. Nationals,

ˇ         Individuals with evidence of superior academic achievement,

ˇ         Individuals committed to a career in teaching and research at
the college or university level,

ˇ         Individuals enrolled or planning to enroll in an eligible
research-based program leading to a Ph.D. in the United States,

ˇ         Individuals who require a minimum of three years study to
complete their Ph.D./Sc.D. degree as of the 2015 fall semester.

Application Deadline: November 19, 2014
