Subject: Maryland Science Olympiad Needs YOU!

Description:
Maryland Science Olympiad provides quality Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Mathematics (STEM) education to over 2000 3rd-12th graders in Maryland
and D.C. MSO holds 48 competitions in life sciences, chemistry, physics,
engineering, and build events at 5 regional and state tournaments, and needs
over 300 volunteers for each to write exams, supervise events, and provide
logistics. We expect over 1300 students, 100 teams, coaches, and parents at
the University of Maryland College Park campus alone.

Who can help?
Anyone! Your major or experience do not matter. We need logistics
volunteers (registration, exam scorers, directions, food runners, awards
helpers to pass out medals, video makers and photographers.)

What is involved?
We need your help for all or part of the day on the dates listed below.
Choose your event of interest and serve as an exam writer in advance, an
event supervisor at the tournament, logistics during the day or at the awards
ceremony, an exam scorer (we need lots), or a goodwill ambassador to lost
teams and students.

Please register at www.marylandscienceolympiad.org, and make an account. If
you have helped before, please do not make a new account. Click on "Forgot
password?" if you do not remember your login credentials.

Why should you help?
As a former recruiter for General Motors, I know how important
extra-curricular activities are on your resume. MSO is part of a
nationally-known, respected organization which has been providing quality
STEM education for over 30 years. Middle and high school students look up to
college students in their potential majors.
