Dr. Sara Via’s research lab is looking for an undergraduate research assistant to assist in research on the genetic mechanisms of speciation. The position will entail both benchwork in a molecular lab and computer analysis.  Applicants should exhibit both basic lab and analysis skills obtained in degree course-work. Applicant requirements include a minimum GPA of 3.5 in science classes, ability to work 8-10 hours a week (flexible), and a major in the life sciences. Ability to continue work over the summer is desirable.  Applications should include a copy of unofficial transcripts and a CV or resume. Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply.
