Each November, the University of Maryland takes part in a nationwide effort
to bring greater awareness to the problems of hunger and homelessness. This
year, TerpCorps and Terps For Change is hosting an engaging event with the
Faces of Homelessness Speakers’ Bureau.
Three DC residents who have been or are homeless will tell their stories
and share their perspectives on the fight against homelessness. These
speakers will challenge common perceptions of homelessness and the people
who struggle with it. They will discuss the root causes of the social issue
and how communities can work towards long-term solutions.
Panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session. Don't miss this
thought-provoking event that will challenge your current viewpoints about
hunger and homelessness in our local community!
