Subject: Making College Park a healthy, vital community

Description: This Friday, December 6, from 2-3 PM, Prince George's County
Council member Eric Olson (who represents College Park and the surrounding
communities) will speak at the School of Public Health (room 2236, student
lounge) about his work to make College Park a healthier, more sustainable and
vital community. His work as a council member has focused on redevelopment,
revitalization and transit-oriented development, policies that support
“smart growth,” stronger pedestrian and bike-friendly initiatives, and
public transportation. He has promoted county efforts on gang prevention,
healthier food choices, and focusing services on communities in need.
