Description: Interested in experiencing science in action in the real world?
Apply to the 2014-15 Global Semester in Washington, D.C. or Federal Semester
Program today! Open to students from all majors! Take a fall seminar course
(one evening a week) taught by experts in the field, for example, Science
Diplomacy: Foreign Policy and Science, Technology, and Innovation; or
Energy/Environment Policy. Engage in an internship for academic credit in
the spring. The programs include visits with policy makers, trips to D.C.,
workshops, one-on-one resume and interview help, etc.. Current students’
internships include National Institutes of Health, Department of Energy,
House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, Aerospace Industries
Association, and White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. For
