Dear Graduate and Undergraduate Students of the College of Computer,
Mathematical, and Natural Sciences,
Success in grad school often depends on your ability to find a
fellowship. Finding a fellowship--NSF, NDSEG, SMART, NASA, etc.--depends
on writing a great application. Learn how to write a great application
at the Annual "Undergraduate and Graduate Fellowships: There's an App
for That" Seminar which is organized and hosted by the Clark School of
Engineering. CMNS graduate and undergraduate students are invited to
attend the seminars!
Application deadlines for graduate fellowships are much earlier this
year than in the past. Therefore the annual fall seminars with
information on fellowship applications will be held very soon.
NOTE: The fellowship programs are mostly restricted to US citizens,
nationals and permanent residents.
While the NSF program is now only open to students who are within the
first three semesters of their first graduate degree program (i.e. have
commenced graduate studies after August 1st, 2013) some of the other
programs, like the SMART Fellowships are open to students at all stages
of undergraduate and graduate research.
Seminar Topics include:
1 "Keys to a Successful App," by Dr. F. Duvinage
2 "How We Did It," a discussion by current fellowship recipients. (NOTE:
Volunteers sought for this -if you are a recipient of one of these

3 "How We Rank Apps," a discussion by application review panel members
4 Q & A throughout!
