Subject: Participate in UMD Autism Research Study!

Description:
Participate in a study aimed at exploring how
your brain processes the language of emotion!

We are interested in individuals between the ages of 15 & 30 who are
typically developing or who have been diagnosed with autism or
Asperger’s syndrome.

We are screening interested individuals to determine if they meet
eligibility criteria for the study. If you qualify, there are two types of
testing: standard pencil & paper assessments and a brain scan. The
assessments are done independently or with a researcher, and may last up
to 3 hours. During the fMRI scan participants will read/listen to sounds/
words/sentences or view pictures while making judgments. The scan lasts
about 1 ½ hours. The testing may be done in one or two sessions, and
volunteers will receive monetary compensation for their time. Weekday
or Saturday testing is available.
