Are you a fan of TED Talks? Have you ever wanted to give a TED Talk at an
official TEDx event? Here is your chance!

On December 6th, UMD will be hosting it it's very own TEDxUMaryland event
with the theme "FEARLESS IDEAS." Our goal is to bring together bright minds
to give powerful talks that are idea-focused, vast in nature, foster
creativity – and provoke conversations that matter.

Giving a TED Talk is an incredible opportunity to share the ideas you have in
a professional environment. If you have an engaging, well-formed idea, apply
to be a speaker at this event! If selected to be a speaker at this year’s
conference, your talk will be filmed and an edit will be hosted on the TEDx
YouTube channel. The TEDx committee will work with you well in advance to
craft your talk. You don’t need to have an entire talk planned out to
apply, but your idea should be clear and well formed. Visit www.ted.com to
hear example Talks and learn more about the organization.
