Subject: Oncology Clinical Research Volunteer

Description:
Oncology Clinical Research Volunteer

We are looking for someone hardworking, detail-oriented and self starting who
can commit 10-20 hours per week for a 6 month period.

The position is located at the Washington Cancer Institute in Washington, DC
- specifically in the oncology research department. We are looking for
student volunteers to help support our day-to-day activities and support the
clinical research trials being conducted. Additionally, they would be able to
get shadowing experience with physicians and learn about oncology clinical
care. There is an opportunity to have the volunteers transition to full time
working after they graduate, if they end up being a good fit.

Duties would include: learning about oncology pharmacology, filing, data
entry, screening patients for eligibility. It is possible the duties would
grow to include patient consenting on non-treatment trials, being present
with senior coordinators/ physicians to help report adverse events, attending
tumor boards to track new potential patients.

This is an unpaid position, but a great resume builder for anyone interested
in a career in medicine/ applying to medical school.

Please send your resume/CV, cover letter, availability and 3 references to:
