Like science, but not so sure about laboratory work? Interested in the human
health, ecological assessments, and the opportunity to inform policy makers?
Just graduated with your bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field? Become
a part of the EPA team in Washington, D.C.!

ORAU announces an Ecological Assessment Support Associate with the Office of
Research and Development (ORD) at the EPA facility in Washington, D.C.

The Associate will assist the National Center for Environmental Assessment
(NCEA) within the ORD, in conducting scientific assessments, including the
potential effects of hydraulic fracturing on drinking water.

Tasks include: obtaining and cataloging scientific literature and data to
assist in assessments, providing administrative and technical assistance in
support of analysis and comments, maintaining records, assisting and
logistics and coordination activities, development of presentations and
graphics, participating in a range of scientific staff efforts, keeping
mentor informed about progress, and maintaining professionalism according to
Quality Assurance, NCEA and EPA standards, and other related tasks.
