Subject: Thailand: Leading for LGBTQ+ Empowerment, Summer 2016 course

Description:
Dear Students and Colleagues:

The University of Maryland is offering a unique 3-credit study abroad course
that is also open to students at other institutions! Thailand: Leading for
LGBTQ+ Empowerment will run June 3-26, 2016. The course is open to both
undergraduate and graduate students. Applications are due no later than March
1, 2016, but students are encouraged to start the process as soon as
possible. This course is ideal for students who want to learn more about
LGBTQ+ identities and issues in a cross-cultural context or who simply want
to look at social justice leadership, those who are planning or thinking
about being an international practitioner (e.g. in education, public health,
public policy, international development, etc.), and those who are simply
curious learners who find the course topic fascinating.

The online brochure and application with further details are available here:

Please also feel free to get in touch with me. I am the Program Director and
I can answer questions in greater detail than the information available on
the website.

Best,
Nick
