ORAU announces a Biochemistry Associate position immediately open with the
Office of Research and Development (ORD) at the EPA’s Research Triangle
Park facility in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.

The Associate will assist the Analytical Chemistry Research Core (ACRC),
within the National Health and Environmental Research Laboratory (NHEERL) of
ORD in method development by performing sample tracking, preparation,
extraction, analysis, and reporting, and supporting chemistry laboratory
operations.

Tasks include: careful and accurate scientific recordkeeping in accordance
with NHEERL requirements, sample extraction using various techniques,
preparation of solutions and standards, operation of general laboratory
equipment and analytical instruments, data review, processing and reporting,
full compliance with EPA’s quality system requirements and laboratory
operating procedures, and other related tasks.
