Subject: CALL FOR PROGRAMS: Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

Description:
CALL FOR PROGRAMS:
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month 2016

TO: University of Maryland Campus Partners and Student Organization Leaders

We invite you to join the University celebration of Asian Pacific American
Heritage Month (APAHM) 2016! This is the 24th year that APAHM has been a
nationally recognized month-long affirmation of the experiences and
contributions of Asian Pacific American communities.

Each year, the University publishes a commemorative calendar of events for
APAHM, which occurs throughout April. Additionally, events are promoted
campus-wide through university websites and social media. Please join in the
campus-wide celebration of APAHM by submitting events and activities, which
relate to the purpose of APAHM and/or your particular student
organization’s/department’s mission.

We welcome all programs and events, but are especially interested in programs
that focus on:

*intersectionality
*immigration issues
*LGBTQ+ issues
*community building

Please fill out the online form here: http://go.umd.edu/apahm2016.

The deadline for submission is March 9, 2016,
