Subject: UMD BATS Team Research Intern - apply by May 18 (deadline extended)
Description:
Looking for an internship opportunity this summer and/or fall? Enjoy working
outdoors and road trips? The UMD BATS (Bat Acoustic Traveling Study) Team is
looking for summer research interns. Interns are trained on how to program
bat detectors to record bat echolocation calls, how to gather tree and other
environmental data, how to use a compass, and how to use a hand-held GPS. If
you're available every Saturday (all day) of the summer (or fall) semester,
then you should send in your resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts
to Shannon Pederson at [log in to unmask] by May 18. Let me know if you are
interested in earning internship credit.
Students with cars are especially encouraged to apply. Gas money is
reimbursed.
Thanks,
Shannon
