Subject: Capital Coordinated Medicine Internship Program

Description:
Capital Coordinated Medicine is excited to offer 3-4 part-time internship
positions this fall for pre-med or pre-professional school students. We are a
start-up physician’s practice that has quickly become the largest provider
of house calls in the DC area. You can learn more about our practice at
www.capcoordinated.com.

We are seeking 3-4 self-motivated students to assist with day-to-day
operations at our central office in Kensington on a part-time basis. The
position, unfortunately, does not offer direct patient contact, but does
offer the opportunity to learn a lot about health in the geriatric
population, Medicare, healthcare technology, and our healthcare system as a
whole. Our office environment is very much based on openness and teamwork;
all of our staff members learn how to perform every aspect of our daily
operations, and as an intern, so will you!

We are looking for team players with excellent customer service and critical
thinking skills who will work with the rest of our staff to help improve
health outcomes for our patients. Flexibility is key, as you will be working
in a fast-paced, yet laid-back environment. Being a start-up practice, this
is a great opportunity for those students with a health background who are
also interested in the business, regulatory, technology, and public health
aspects of running a private practice.

Your duties will involve answering phones from patients and their families,
some data entry, and administrative tasks, but you will also be heavily
involved in helping us improve our practice as a whole. Your fresh
perspective is invaluable to our organization; our previous interns have
implemented programs that improve patient care and have even helped save
lives!

Our pay for interns is set at $10.75/hr. For interns applying to medical or
professional schools, we are more than happy to write a letter of
recommendation your behalf based on your performance. It’s also worth
noting that many of our previous interns have been offered full-time
positions during the summer or after graduating.

If you’re interested in becoming one of our interns, please send us your
resume along with a brief email explaining who you are, what your future
plans are, and what you think you could bring to the table for our practice.
No formal cover letter is necessary. Please send all emails to

Deadline for submissions is August 12, though we will start interviewing
candidates as we receive applications.
