We are looking for Medical Scribe candidates who are looking to gain valuable
experience by working closely with physicians as a Medical Scribe for Essia
Health. Our Medical Scribes assist directly with a physician team in a
hospital to effectively and efficiently compile and complete detailed
electronic medical records / patient charts. This position is ideal for
students looking to get into medical school or who plan to work in the
medical field. Essia Health posted an impressive 85% acceptance rate in 2011,
with our Medical Scribes. Essia Health is looking to hire and train Medical
Scribes to work in Bel Air and Havre de Grace, MD! We offer part-time and
full-time hours paying $10/hr + 15% night differential.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
o Accompany physician while seeing patients and assist in recording patient
history and physical exam findings into patient's chart / electronic medical
record.
o Organize all of patient's laboratory tests, medications, imaging studies,
etc. and transcribe the results of the encounter into the patient's chart /
electronic medical record.
o Document all procedures completed and record all diagnostic test results.
o Document any consultation made by physician to a patient's personal
physician, on-call physician, consulting physician or family member.
o Responsible for documenting all diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions,
and discharge & follow up information for each patient.
REQUIREMENTS
o Must demonstrate ability to clearly and concisely communicate, orally and
in writing.
o Demonstrate a high level of maturity and possess strong interpersonal &
organizational skills.
o Minimum typing speed of 60 words / minute.
o Computer literate.
o Time commitment of one year for full-time or part-time Scribes. - Must be
available to work a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week equaling 24 hours or more.
