Subject: EPA Computational Biologist

Description:
The EPA Environmental Research and Business Support Program is searching for
an EPA Computational Biologist with the Office of Research and Development at
the EPA facility in Research Triangle Park, NC. The Biologist will assist the
Bioinformatics team in the integration of datasets relevant to human genetic
susceptibility. The job is expected to begin December 2016.

·         Full time, $20.65/hour
·         Must have earned a Bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, biology,
genetics, or related field
·         Must have experience in at least one general purpose programming
language, Unix or Linux operating system, large genomic datasets, and
population genetics theory
·         Will perform tasks such as maintaining existing code and scripts,
creating new applications to interact with genomic and transcriptomic
datasets, and presenting work performed
