“An Unusual, but Fascinating Career Path: Becoming a Correctional
Psychiatrist” talk and reception with alumnus Jeffrey Metzner, M.D. (B.S.
’72, zoology), the psychiatrist who ruled Colorado theater shooter James
Holmes “sane”. September 10 at 2:30pm, 1103 BRB. For more information and

CMNS Crab Feast at the beautiful, waterfront Calvert Marine Museum in
Southern Maryland. September 26 at 1pm. For more information and to RSVP,

“Make Your Mark: Land Your Dream Job, Kill It In Your Career, and Rock
Social Media” career advice, Q&A, book signing and reception with alumna
and author Aliza Licht (B.S. ’96, biological sciences). October 7 at 5pm,

CMNS Ice Cream Social for all students, staff and faculty members in the
college. November 6 at 3pm, CHEM Atrium.

Bioscience Day, an annual event focused on bioscience research with speakers,
student poster session and venture fair. This year will feature UMD-NIST
partnerships and a keynote lecture by Leroy Hood, president and co-founder of
the Institute for Systems Biology. November 19 all day, Stamp Student Union.
