This Fall, START is offering:
BSST 338V: Innovations in Countering Violent Extremism
Develop solutions to community-based radicalization through a blend of
entrepreneurial, Design Thinking strategies and terrorist disengagement
theories. Co-taught by START’s Executive Director and Education Director,
this course asks students to design origi-nal programs targeting real-world,
at-risk communities. Students present their programs to a panel of experts,
including representa-tives of the White House, Homeland Security, and
Department of State.
Join us on Mondays from 2-4:45 in MMH1304 for “The course went through a
lot of material and had a lot of interaction, which was really a good combo.
I would strongly recommend this course to anyone interested in [studying]
