Get a jump start on your medical career and a huge competitive advantage to admissions!
The University of Colorado School of Medicine announces its summer offerings of the nationally renowned Emergency & Wilderness Medicine Pre-Med Program. These classes include:
• Colorado – May 22-June 3
• Costa Rica – July 21-30
• Colorado – August 7-19
Taught by U of CO School of Medicine faculty and physicians, this two-week “mini-medical school” class provides a powerful hands-on introduction to emergency and wilderness medicine. Shadow attending physicians in the ER, do EMS ride-alongs, participate in medical school labs (ultrasound, cardiac dissection, suturing, etc.), sit in on lectures from med school faculty, and hear from med school admissions officers. Spend nearly a week at camp up in the Rockies where you'll hike, paddle, backpack, learn outdoor and survival skills, and continue skill development and scenario-based learning.
Earn CPR and Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness First Aid certifications.
Get a unique back stage pass to the field of medicine! Colorado residents & students earn a 10% discount on all our pre-med courses taking place in Colorado.

Words from a former student:
I participated in the Emergency & Wilderness Medicine Pre-Med Program in Summer 2014 and had an AMAZING time! I was able to learn more about emergency medicine first hand, such as observing ultrasound use and practicing intubation, while meeting other pre-med students from all over the country (who I still keep in contact with!) Sign up for this class and you won’t regret all the information you learn and all the memories you make! If you have any questions about the program, feel free to reach out to me, Susan Roberts, at [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>
