Subject: Research data intern: Maternal and Child Survival Program

Description:
A global health organization, Jhpiego, is in search of a data analyst intern
for its Maternal and Child Survival program.

This department supports programming in maternal, newborn, and child health;
immunization; family planning and reproductive health; nutrition; health
systems strengthening; water, sanitation, and hygiene; malaria; prevention of
mother-to-child transmission of HIV; and pediatric HIV care and treatment.

The Research Data Intern is expected to make a time commitment of 10-15 hours
per week, for a period of at least three months.
Some of the responsibilities are:
o Develop a tracker to catalog and categorize research datasets and data
management plans
o Develop/refine communications plan for Program staff e.g. Open Data tip of
the week series
o Develop and update Open Data guidance, processes, and standard operating
procedures
o Assist with refining hands-on training curriculum and with development of
eLearning module
o Support study teams with cleaning datasets, developing codebooks and
de-identifying data
o Maintain and update Open Data resources on MCSP intranet
