DEPARTMENT:  Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics

STARTING SALARY:  Commensurate with qualifications and experience

ADDITIONAL SALARY INFO:  Part-time (25-30 hrs per week)

DUTIES: The technician will take care of the strawberry plants in the green
house,
including trimming plants, watering plants and planting seeds. In addition,
the Technician
will perform a variety of functions vital for the day-to- day operation of
the laboratory,
including: ordering supplies, tracking lab expenses, overseeing maintenance
of
equipment, and organizing lab materials. Hours are flexible.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants are preferably committed to the job long term
(multi-
years). Previous experiences with plant care and a B.S. degree would be a
plus.
However, positive altitude, reliability, and organizational skills are a
must.  On the job
training will be provided.
