Description:
Suburban Heart Institute is a cardiology clinic that provides comprehensive
outpatient cardiac services including physical exams, EKGs, echocardiograms,
stress testing, and lipid management. The clinic is formally affiliated with
the George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C.

The position available is for a part time clinical assistant on Fridays from
8 AM to 4 PM. Transportation is required as we currently have two clinical
facilities: one is located in Riverdale, Maryland and the other facility is
located in La Plata, Maryland. The clinical assistant would alternate between
the facilities on a weekly basis.

   This job entails the initial reception of the patients, taking vital signs,
and working with the physician in patient management. The position also
involves collecting patient laboratory data, communicating to patients their
results, and communicating patient care plans to other physicians. This job
provides an excellent opportunity to obtain clinical experience for a
graduate who wants to pursue a career in medicine or affiliated fields such
as nursing, physician assistant, pharmacy, or sonography.
