Subject: Student Travel Awards - Council of Ionizing Radiation Measurements
and Standards Meeting

Description: We would like to invite you to participate in an excellent
opportunity to present your work at the upcoming 25th annual meeting of the
Council of Ionizing Radiation Measurements and Standards. This year, CIRMS
will be awarding up to eight student travel grant awards. These awards will
cover conference registration, a one-year membership to CIRMS, and $700 to
cover travel and lodging costs. The meeting will be held March 27-29, 2017 in
Gaithersburg, Maryland at the National Institutes of Standards and Technology
(NIST). The abstract submission deadline has been extended to January 31,
2017. All work involving the use of ionizing radiation will be considered
including areas such as medical physics, radiation protection, industrial
applications, etc.  Essays submissions discussing the project's objectives,
methods, and results are being solicited. Essays must not exceed 1000 words
and may include figures and tables.
