 Hello Everyone,

We will be having an open UMD American Nuclear Society meeting on *Wednesday,
April 11 at 6:00 PM in CHE1302*. We will be having a very special
guest, *Samuel
Brinton*, coming in to talk about Nuclear Energy Advocacy.

For those who do not know, Samuel Brinton is a member of ANS National and
has been with the Bipartisan Policy Center's Energy Project, where they
were a senior policy analyst of Nuclear Waste Initiative. They were an
adviser on nuclear matters to President Obama and Trump.

Brinton is a LGBTQ+ activist and survivor of conversion therapy; they are
working with the National Center for Lesbian and #BornPerfect campaign to
end conversion therapy through the 50 Bills 50 States initiative.

Brinton graduated from MIT in 2014 with a dual masters degree in nuclear
engineering and science as well as technology policy. T*here will be
pizza! *

*For any questions, email us at:*
