Subject: Undergraduate research assistant for Mycology Lab

Description:
The Chaverri Mycology lab in the Plant Sciences and Landscape Architecture is
searching for an undergraduate research assistant. The student will work in a
project related to plant endosymbiotic microbes (specifically fungi) and
their benefits to coffee plants (and relatives). The student will learn from
basic mycology laboratory and molecular techniques to more advanced analyses
in bioinformatics. The undergraduate student will work closely with graduate
students.

We are searching for a student preferably with some experience in a molecular
lab and that will be available at least for one year.

Send a curriculum vitae and letter or email with a personal statement to Dr.
Priscila Chaverri at [log in to unmask] with a copy to the current grad student
Humberto Castillo at [log in to unmask]

Disclaimer: Some experience is desirable but not required to apply, we want
someone who would feel comfortable in a molecular lab and also someone who's
this experience can help them for the future.
